Pseudoplexaura porosa(Houttuyn 1772)
Long branches, usually bushy rather than in one plane, colonies may reach nearly 2 m tall but most will be considerably less.

Calices of this genus are flush with the surface of the branches. The calices of this species are densely packed, such that the gaps between them are less than their diameters, and polyps appear crowded and overlapping. This distinguishes the species from Pseudoplexaura flagellosa.

Calices are round to oval, but they are not slits.
