Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata(Verrill 1864)
This species of plume like seafans differs in having more spaced branching off the main trunks, and the branches are stiff, not floppy. Both the primary and secondary branches all have branchlets emerging off their sides. These branchlets emerge mostly in matched pairs, on opposite sides of the stems.

This species has a more open and 'sea-fan' appearance than other species of this genus shown here.
